How to Add Fields to a Standard Section

The following fields can be added to to a Standard Section by selecting the + icon for the section on the Define Templates page.

Field Type	Description/Function
Text	The Text field type allows the inspector to enter text in the field on the form. Prompt/Question ID Alignment NA Left Center Right Full Divider Required* - Selecting the Required checkbox will make the field required on the form. Recallable* - Selecting the Recallable box will prompt system to populate the field with the last known value when you submit the form. For example, you could use this field to enter known information about a gauge(s) that is not likely to change (such as brand). The information you enter in this field will be used to pre-populate the field on the form for the inspector. MultiLine - Selecting the MultiLine checkbox expands the text field on the form from one line to multiple lines being available for entering text. System Field - Selecting the System Field checkbox will allow you to add the Tag field to your form. The Tag field is used to populate .pdf cover pages. Set Current Date - Selecting the Set Current Date checkbox will prompt the system to insert the current date on the form.
Choice	The Choice field type allows the inspector to choose an answer to a question on the form. The Choice field is set up on the Add Field page. Prompt/Question ID Alignment NA Left Center Right Full Divider Required* - Selecting the Required checkbox will make the field required on the form. Recallable* - Selecting the Recallable box will prompt system to populate the field with the last known value when you submit the form. For example, you could use this field to enter known information about a gauge(s) that is not likely to change (such as brand). The information you enter in this field will be used to pre-populate the field on the form for the inspector. Choice Style Buttons Drop List Choice Type Custom System Choices Add Choice Add Yes/No Add Pass/Fail Add NA Advanced Create Deficiency When Value Equals: - Select the condition that will create a deficiency. Default - You can select the default text that will appear in the field on the form. The default text can be changed by the inspector if required. Only Show the Selected Value on PDF
Checkbox	The Checkbox field type allows the inspector to use a checkbox to verify a task or situation on the inspection form. Prompt/Question ID Alignment NA Left Center Right Full Divider Required- Selecting the Required checkbox will make the field required on the form. Recallable- Selecting the Recallable box will prompt system to populate the field with the last known value when you submit the form. For example, you could use this field to enter known information about a gauge(s) that is not likely to change (such as brand). The information you enter in this field will be used to pre-populate the field on the form for the inspector.
Read-Only Text	The Read-Only Text field type is a read-only text field used on a form. Common uses of the Read-Only Text field includes table Headers and descriptions or instructions. Prompt/Question ID Alignment NA Left Center Right Full Divider
Signature	The Signature field type is a digital signature field that can be added a form. Prompt/Question ID Alignment NA Left Center Right Full Divider Required- Selecting the Required checkbox will make the field required on the form. Recallable- Selecting the Recallable box will prompt system to populate the field with the last known value when you submit the form. For example, you could use this field to enter known information about a gauge(s) that is not likely to change (such as brand). The information you enter in this field will be used to pre-populate the field on the form for the inspector. Show No Signature Available
Auto-Populating	The Auto-Populating field type allows you to automatically pre-populate information on the form. Prompt/Question ID Alignment NA Left Center Right Full Divider Derived Field - Using a Derived field on your form, you can auto-populate information on the form if it is associated with any of the following fields in your system: Assembly Company Address 1 Company Address 2 Company City Company Email Company Full Address Company Name Company Phone Company State Company Zip Contact Full Address Contact Full Name Contact Phone Facility Name Facility Name and Occupancy Location Address 1 Location Address 2 Location City Location Code Location Full Address Location State Location Zip Occupancy Classification
General Comment button	The General Comment button field type allows the inspector to add general comments by using a button on the screen. Prompt/Question ID
Date	The Date field type is a text field containing the date of work that an inspection or other task was completed. Prompt/Question ID Alignment NA Left Center Right Full Divider Required- Selecting the Required checkbox will make the field required on the form. Recallable- Selecting the Recallable box will prompt system to populate the field with the last known value when you submit the form. For example, you could use this field to enter known information about a gauge(s) that is not likely to change (such as brand). The information you enter in this field will be used to pre-populate the field on the form for the inspector.
Addendum	The Addendum field type allows you to add an addendum to the form. Prompt/Question ID Disclaimer

5. Save the Section.
