Getting Started
In order to import and export an asset, at least one form that supports the addition of that specific asset must be included at the location. For example, if you want to add a new fire extinguisher to a location, check to see if the location already has a Fire Extinguishers form to export to your computer.
If a form designed to import the asset is not present at the location, you will need to add a form that supports adding that asset. In this case, you would add a Fire Extinguishers form to the location to import the new fire extinguisher as an asset on the corresponding Fire Extinguisher Inspection List.
Note: If a form supporting the asset is not available, the Import/Export Assets feature will not display forms for selection on the Import/Export Assets screen.
Once a form supporting your assets is included, the CSV file from the assembly can be exported to your computer using the Import/Export Assets feature. The exported CSV file contains the required and optional columns, and also determines the order in which the columns appear on the form.
Note: The CSV file defines the required column order in the file. The order of the columns (left to right) cannot be rearranged. If the order of the columns in the CSV file is changed, the file will not import into the form.
