Example - How to Add a Supplement to a Form

Add the Supplement Section

1. Select the form.

2. Select Add Section.

3. Enter the Heading name (Supplement).

4. Select Supplement from the Section Type drop-down list.

5. Select Assets from the Supplement Type drop-down list.

6. Select the Default NA checkbox.

7. Select the Include Last Tested checkbox.

8. Select the Include Reset Last Tested checkbox.

9. Select the Has Legend checkbox.

10. Enter the number of Legend Columns (6).

11. Build your list of assets as described in the Building the Assets List section below.

Note: In this example, the number of Legend Columns is set to 6 in order to display an extensive list of assets in the minimum amount of space on the form.

Building the Assets List

1. Select Add in the Asset Types section on the Add Section page.

2. Enter an Abbreviation for the new asset (AF).

3. Enter the Full name of the asset (Anti-Freeze).

4. Select the Select Symbol button.

5. Select a Symbol for the asset ().

6. Save the asset.

7. Continue by adding additional Asset Types to be included as selections for your inspectors on the form.

8. Save the Supplement Section.

Preview the Supplement Section on Your Custom Form

1. Select Save and Preview on the Define Templates page.

2. The new Supplement section is now displayed (Figure 1).

Note: The section includes all Asset Types that were added to the Legend in the example. The Asset Types are displayed in 6 columns as configured on the Add Section screen. The Inspector can now easily add more assets to the list by selecting the Add button.
