      Add a Device Supplements

      How to Add a Device Supplements Supplement Type


      1. From the Define Templates page, access the Supplement Section on your form.

      2. Select Device Supplements from the Supplement Type drop-down list (Figure 1).

      The Add Section page for a Devices Supplement is displayed (Figure 2).

      Add Common Fields

      The following fields are available for all Supplement Types on the Add/Edit Section page:

      Field typeDescription
      HeadingText entered in the Heading field will be displayed at the top of the new section.
      Top LevelSelection of the Top Level checkbox will display the section Heading at the beginning of the section. If the Top Level checkbox is not selected, The section Header will not be displayed in the section.
      Left Align HeaderSelection of the Left Align Header checkbox will display the section header on the top left side of the section in the form. If the Left Align Header checkbox is not selected, the header will appear in the top center of the section in the form.
      Add Visibility FilterSelection of the Add Visibility Filter button opens the Add Visibility Filter page and allows you to set the conditions under which the section will be visible on the form.

      Display Only
      Create Clone SectionThe Create Section Clone checkbox is displayed when the *Report Only Presentation has been selected.
      BorderThe Border checkbox inserts a border around the section.
      Section FrequencyThe Section Frequency field allows you to determine the frequency of a section within the form. The available selections for Section Frequency are:
      • Always
      • Daily
      • Weekly
      • Monthly
      • Quarterly
      • Semi-Annual
      • Annual
      • 2 Year
      • 3 Year
      • 4 Year
      • 5 Year
      • 10 Year
      • Serviced
      Supplement TypeThe Supplement Type defines the kind of asset being added to the form.  The Supplement Types available for selection are shown below:

      Note: For a Supplement Section, the fields available on the Add/Edit Section screen are determined by the Supplement Type selected.


      Default N/ASelect the Default N/A checkbox to set all Pass/Fail questions on the form to N/A as the default answer.

      Add Devices Supplement Fields

      The following fields are available specifically for a Devices Supplement Supplement Type on the Add/Edit Section page:

      Field TypeDescription
      Include Last TestedSelect the Include Last Tested checkbox to include the Last Tested date on the form.
      Include Reset Last TestedSelect the Include Reset Last Tested checkbox to allow the inspector to Reset the Last Tested date on the form.
      Has LegendSelect the Has Legend checkbox to include a legend of all assets available for selection on the form.
      Legend ColumnsThe Legend Columns field defines the number of columns in the legend on the form.

      Building the Devices Supplement Assets List

      1. Select the Add button on the Add Section page (Figure 1).

      2. The Add Type page is displayed (Figure 2).Figure 23. Enter an Abbreviation for the Asset Type.

      4. Enter a Full name for the Asset Type.

      5. Select the Select Symbol button (Figure 2). The Select your symbol screen is displayed (Figure 3).

      6. Select a symbol. 

      7. The selected symbol is displayed on the Add type page (Figure 4).

      8. Select Custom Text on the Add Type page (Figure 4).

      9. The Symbol Text field is displayed on the Add Type page (Figure 5).

      10. Enter the Symbol Text. 

      11. Save the Asset Type.

      12. The new Asset Type is added to the Assets List (Figure 6).

      13. Continue adding all Asset Types you want to be available for selection on your form.

      14. Save the Section.

      Note: Each Supplement Type has unique fields that are used to create the individual supplement. The following Supplement Types are also available for use on your forms.
