What is a Custom Form?
A Custom Form is a form that has been created to address the specific needs of your customers and users. Custom Forms commonly contain new sections and fields that have been added to an existing form, such as:
- Questions and answer selections for your inspectors to use in the field
- New assets to be inspected at a location
- Special instructions for inspectors
- Auto-populating information, such as location name, address and date of inspection
- Pump Curve data
In the past, Custom Forms have been created by Formlink upon request from our customers. With the release of the Custom Forms feature, you will have the option of creating and editing your own forms in Formlink.
What is the Custom Forms Feature?
The Custom Forms feature allows you to create or edit your own inspection forms. Using this feature, you can make immediate changes to your forms (using a template), and then deploy the form into your system in Formlink. This will result in your users always having the latest version of the form. Using the Custom Forms feature, you can easily add specific types of information to your forms, such as:
- Sections
- Standard
- Fixed Table (table with a fixed number of rows)
- Expanding Table (table with the ability add rows)
- Supplement
- Pump Curve
- Fields
- Enter text
- Choice
- Checkbox
- Read-only text
- Signature
- Auto-populating
- General Comment Button
- Date
- Addendum
Note: Formlink will still accept requests to customize your forms, the new feature gives you the option of creating and editing the forms yourself.
