Securing Your Account

FormLink offers several features to help secure accounts and personal information. To ensure maximum security, the features detailed below are both available and recommended.

MFA

Multi-Factor Authentication (also knows as MFA or 2-Step Verification) provides a secondary point of login validation to be used alongside a password. When enabled, users are required to submit a code obtained via email or an authenticator app after logging into the system. This code can be required at every login or only once on a trusted device.

Password Requirements

Strong passwords are the backbone of account security. FormLink offers several options to verify the strength of user passwords. Accounts have the option to enable these settings to require their users' passwords pass all requirements. Even if these options are not enabled, it is recommended that users adhere to the below standards to ensure the security of their account.

Remembered Devices

If allowed, users have the option to remember devices at the Authentication screen. This will skip MFA verification for that user on that device (Note: this is browser specific). If an Account requests for users' remembered devices to expire, this process will have to be repeated after a set number of days. Multiple users can be remembered on the same device. Users also have the option to forget specific devices, as well as clear out all remembered devices at once.
